OPERATIONS ANALYST
Plano, Texas

AIG Commercial Equipment Finance, Inc. (CEF), a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of AIG, is seeking an Operations Analyst. CEF provides finance and lease products to a wide range of industries including maritime, franchise finance, tax exempt, healthcare, construction, energy, high technology, mining, printing, semi-conductor, manufacturing, trucking and transportation throughout the U.S., Canada, and other selected international markets.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Facilitate accurate booking and maintenance of loan and lease contracts with adherence to company policies and procedures regarding filing, scanning and retention of transaction documents.
  • Ensure perfection of security interests and maintenance of insurance for CEF assets.
  • Provide accurate calculation of contract buyouts, contract modifications, and disposition of assets and/or contracts.
  • Ensure correct posting of payments and invoice processing.
  • Reconcile floating rate contracts.
  • Accurately prepare and publish reports.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Prior banking or leasing company experience in operations, credit or administration.
  • Knowledge of InfoLease preferred.
  • Capable of using loan and lease pricing software such as SuperTrump and Tvalue.
  • Knowledge of lease and loan documentation and perfection.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Analytical skills and the ability to problem solve.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
  • Minimum two years college preferred, 2-3 years experience required.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides support at the regional level and manages the pre-funding activities of the leasing cycle, from receipt of the Dealer Services contract through authorization of funding. Interfaces with both internal and external clients relative to leasing questions (i.e., terms and conditions, status of orders, exception processing, buy-out/payoff quotations, etc.). Attends SBU roll call meetings and provides administrative and sales training as needed.
  • Monitor xml feed and send transactions to Credit analyst within 24 hours if credit-scoring system does not automatically approve transaction. Obtain required Financial Statements from Lessee when needed and update data fields in Rapport with accurate information including pricing, promotion codes, equipment locations, correct legal name, proper tax codes based on equipment location, customer contact information, etc.
  • Determine that proper lease documentation is selected and generate accurate lease documentation from Rapport. Upon receipt of executed lease documentation, reviews documentation to insure that terms and conditions are not modified and that an officer of Lessee has executed documentation on Lessee’s behalf. Once it is determined that lease documentation has been properly executed, generate Equipment Release Form in Rapport and send to Dealer Services.

Qualifications:

  • Reports to the Director of Operations.
  • Substantial general business with leasing background required.
  • Proven proficiency on the operation of the HP19B/similar financial calculator and system operation knowledge.
  • Good client service skills required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills necessary.

The Senior Financial Customer Service Representative provides accurate timely customer service, in compliance with company policies and procedures, to customers, dealers and field personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Handles and/or assists staff in a wide variety of customer inquiries/problems, bringing them to resolution or referring to proper department for resolution.
  • Maintains contact with other internal departments and field operations to obtain information on which to base and justify decisions to meet customer needs.
  • Applies experience in specialized areas and demonstrates ability to exercise good judgment in the application of knowledge to the solution of difficult tasks.
  • Quote payoffs to customers/dealers for IBI and finance included notes, including the coordination and handling of large (i.e. > $1 million) and difficult (i.e. finance code 90+), bankruptcy, to-the-day payoff quotes.
  • Act as liaison to Idealease for all customer service matters.
  • Answer customer questions regarding payment history, payment status, etc.
  • Analyze and prepare transaction history for customers.
  • Review DEFT report and initiate appropriate account reconciliation transaction (e.g. JE, interest adjustment).
  • Receive and process customer inquiries regarding status of title release.
  • Obtain and/or administer document copies such as contracts, retail note analysis, insurance quotes, and titles.
  • Initiate requests for adjustments/misapplied funds correction and complete corresponding JEs.
  • Send copies of the billing statements, dealer reserve statements or other dealer reports upon request.
  • Handle inquires regarding application of funds and/or returns for Retail contracts.
  • Prepare amortization schedules.
  • Handle tax and audit inquiries, send information to customer.
  • Process address changes and payment book/envelopes reorders.
  • Process ACH and EZ Pay requests.
  • Perform office support responsibilities.
  • Assist in the preparation of training materials.
  • Assist in the orientation and training of new employees, as well as transferring knowledge to other Sr. Finance Administrators within department and other FSC departments.
  • Under direct supervision, carries out broad and complex assignments requiring comprehensive knowledge in the field of retail financing, titles and insurance.
  • Suggest and assist in initiating process improvement ideas for department and entire FSC.
  • Assist with general EZ-Pay calls when support team is unavailable.
  • Handle confidential PayByPhone processing.

  • Banks and finance companies
  • Insurance companies
  • Central Telecollections Office, Treasury, Operations, all Financial Service Center Departments
  • Customers, International dealers

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance or administration, or at least 3 years of Business Operations, Financial, Call Center, or Customer Service experience.
  • 3-4 years of Call Center/Customer Service experience preferred.
  • Positive Attitude, Ethics and International Values which support our company’s values, and a healthy, high performance culture.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Crystal reporting.
  • Working knowledge of other financial service department processes (i.e., Titles, Notes, Portfolio Mgmt.).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
