SUMMARY STATEMENT: The Retail Manager services and manages all credit and pricing aspects of dealer relationships on 1 and 2 truck transactions on outstanding credit commitments.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

In regards to 1 & 2 truck transactions:

  • Reviews all credit commitments and negotiates alternative financing structures with appropriate dealer personnel to maximize volume and spread opportunities per transaction.
  • Monitors transactions within the Area Credit Department to ensure a timely turnaround of credit decisions.
    1. Manages all outstanding 1 and 2 truck approvals to closure.
    2. Track monthly performance and report results to appropriate dealer personnel and PFC Management.
  • Ensures that all credit commitments are followed up on within two hours of issuance.
  • Responsible for the analysis of credit risks and margins working within the established guidelines.
  • Directs and communicates with all Area Departments to effectively achieve Area margin and volume goals.
  • Provides reports and input to Area Credit Manager, Area Sales Manager, and Area Operations Manager as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS degree in finance or business-related degree.
  • Three to five years of commercial (heavy equipment) lending experience required; truck financing preferred.
  • Selling experience desirable.
  • Service-oriented, a sense of urgency, focused on follow through and closing skills.
  • Relationship-building skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent negotiating skills.
  • Strong planning, organization and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with challenging customers.
  • PC skills and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
